Life is full of challenges. And in today’s day and age the challenges are causing immense stress, which then has an adverse impact on the health of an individual – physical, mental, emotional. People are running on the super-highway each day to survive, but in the bargain the biggest problem is that they tend to forget themselves. They become the least of priorities. It is always about everyone else.

This is where one needs to sit down and take a good look at themselves – at their life and make a chart of all the things they are doing good for themselves; all the good things they are avoiding to do and all the good things they detest doing. And surely the last two lists would be the longest, because it is uncanny, yet true that whatever is best for an individual is on the ‘least to do priority list’.

This is because most people overlook, or then take for granted the benefits of all good things that should be done in life. In other words they take their life, or rather themselves for granted. They feel that all is fine today, so there is no need to invest time and efforts into activities or foods, or objects that would reap a lot more benefits where health is concerned.

As the experts say, most humans spend more than half their lives chasing wealth. And once they have achieved all the wealth they desire, the rest of their life is chasing health. Then it is all about spending their wealth on health. A common story of the common person...

The fact is that right now, right here is the best time to bring into ones life corrective measures to lead them to a better and healthier life. These changes would include smiles and laughter; exercise and physical activity; right eating habits; eating more fruits, vegetables, etc. All this implies bringing a discipline into their life.

And that seems to be dreaded most, as people feel that discipline means loss of freedom; it means bondage for them. But the fact is that leading a life of discipline leads one into a life of freedom – freedom from stress and all stress related problems.

One just needs to get onto the path and adopt a mission to be healthy and there everything else will fall into place.
